Projects in EUROPARC Nordic-Baltic Section

Visitor Monitoring Methods in Nordic and Baltic Countries

A project with aim to exchange experiences and develop visitor monitoring methods with regard to protected and recreational areas in the Nordic and Baltic countries is carried out by project group which is leaded by Metsähallitus, Finland. The project is supported by Nordic Council of Ministers.

LIFE Nature

  • LIFE Nature is mainly focusing on the management of protected areas and species. In 2000-2005, more than 30 EU LIFE Nature projects have been funded in the Nordic and Baltic countries. A lot of information is available in the database of the EU Commission.
