2012 National Association for Interpretation International Conference
8-12 May 2012. Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i.
The National Association for Interpretation (NAI) will host the seventh annual international conference on the subject of heritage interpretation in Hawai'i in 2012.
To illuminate the theme of The Nexus of Nature and Culture: Interpretation's Role in Creating a State of Pono, the 2012 conference will get delegates outside in mobile labs to view and learn from specific case studies along the Kohala and Kona coast of western Hawai'i. The unique blend of Hawaiian culture, an agricultural and tourism-based economy, and outstanding marine and land environments will frame a week of networking, cultural exchange, and experiences that will expand your perspectives on interpretation and its importance in protecting heritage resources around the globe.
